Gaston Zvi Ickowicz was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1974, and immigrated to Israel in 1980. Ickowicz finished his Photography studies with honors at the Musrara School of Photography in 2000, and his Advanced Studies in Art and Photography from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in 2009. His photographs have been exhibited widely in Israel and abroad, including the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, The Israel Museum - Jerusalem, Haifa Museum of Art.
Ickowicz has received numerous awards and prizes, including the Gerard Levi Young Photographer's Prize from the Israel Museum (2008) and the Young Artist Award from the Israeli Ministry of Culture (2010). His works center upon landscapes, human portraits and the interaction between them in the context of social and political issues.
Gaston Zvi Ickowicz is currently living and working in Tel Aviv.
